Hi everyone!
I have two Glossybox Unboxing’s for you! This month was exciting for Glossybox because they released the Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co. Limited edition beauty box. Plus they had the Monthly Subscription box of June: Summer Solstice released as well! Both boxes were jam packed with so many amazing products!
I did receive both boxes at no cost in exchange for a review and this post does contain affiliate links. This doesn’t impact my opinion on the box or products. I always will give you my honest opinion on anything I share with all of you.
Limited Edition Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co. Glossybox
The first box I want to talk about is the Limited Edition Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co. Glossybox. For those that don’t know, Karl Lagerfeld is a renowned fashion designer and Model Co. is an Australian beauty brand. When fashion met beauty with this collaboration it resulted in this ‘Illuminated Beauty’ collectable beauty line. This box is so much fun and contains some essentials for an everyday look!
Lip Couture Red Lipstick + Red Lip Liner
I am a firm believer that everyone needs a good, true red color in their lip product arsenal and this lipstick is just that. The color itself is on point with a high pigmented matte red. The lipstick and lip liner work fabulously together and compliment each other fantastically. When I was in college lip liner was something I would wear often just on a daily basis. I’ve been a bit of a lip product junkie, if there was a makeup item that I couldn’t live without it would be a lip product and this lipstick and lip liner did not disappoint!
These both were full size items.
Lipstick: $15.00
Lip Liner: $29.00
Lip Gloss Ramatuelle
Staying on the lip product train, this gloss was amazing. It was much more pigmented than most glosses I use and the color was absolutely beautiful. The gloss had a satin finish to it, so while it was still glossy and felt like a gloss, it didn’t have that super glossy look to it once on. This was probably my favorite item in the box!
This was a full size gloss and normally costs $15.00.
Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co Liquid Liner
I use liquid eye liner like it’s my job. Personally I have a hooded eye so I NEED an eyeliner that doesn’t smudge easily and is long lasting. Let me tell you, this liner is not moving once you put on without some effort on your end. I was shocked at how well it stayed on in my unboxing video when I was trying to wipe the swatch off my hand! The liner has a very unique tip to it. There is a flat side which allows for a nice thick line, but then if you turn it ever so slightly you can draw a nice thin line as well! This made the liner so versatile in my book that I would definitely consider it a must have!
This was a full size product that normally cost $30.00.
Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co Baked Blush
Baked makeup products like this typically last longer than your usual powder because they are usually more concentrated. Which is a plus in my book. This was a very pretty soft pink blush that had a slight shimmer to it. This blush actually has micronized color pigments that help brighten and highlight your complexion. I really loved this color because it allowed for an ever so slight rosy cheek.
This was a full size item that typically cost $44.00.
Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co Blush Brush
I needed a good blush brush because the one I used previously was on it’s last leg. This one was sturdy yet soft at the same time. When I’m using makeup brushes (any kind) I usually tap it a couple of times before I use it on my face. So, when I saw the tip in the Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co. box being exactly that I was actually quite proud of myself for having figured it out on my own WAY back in high school.
This was a full size item that cost $31.00
Overall Thoughts on the Limited Edition Box
This box contained most of the essentials you would need for an everyday look. I am a huge fan of the all the lip products, especially the lip gloss. Plus the blush brush is my new go-to brush for everything blush and bronzer related. The box itself cost $35 for non-subscribers and only $30 if you are a monthly Glossybox subscriber but it contains $164 worth of products!! I am a huge stickler for the value of boxes being more than the actual price you pay for them and this one hit it out of the park!

June Glossybox: Summer Solstice
I also received the June monthly subscription box to share with you and the theme was Summer Solstice.
Icon Mini Eye Shadow
This Palette is by Absolute New York and is in the color Gold Glitz. This is the perfect pallet for a smokey eye because of the range of colors in it. There are three matte colors and three shimmer colors. I personally prefer the matte colors because of the shape of my eye, the matte colors help draw attention away from the hooded eyelid I have. I absolutely LOVE the black matte color and the Fluff matte color. I realize I couldn’t get any more opposite if I tried but they are my favorite shades on the pallet. Mostly because the finish of the matte is just perfect because it doesn’t take a couple layers to get a full pigment like some other shadows I have.
This was a full size item that normally cost $8.99
Temple Spa Resting Cream
This is a Repose Aromaterapy Resting Cream that smells amazing. I am an avid essential oils lover so whenever products contain them I am immediately intrigued. The product itself contains valerian, chammomile, frankincense, lavender, patchouli, geranium, orange, and clary that help relax you. It also gives your skin a firmer look and a softer feel to it.
This was a sample size product of 0.5 fl. oz.
A full size product of 1.6 oz would cost $60.00.
Gilchrist & Soames
This is body lotion that smells AMAZING! The scent is English Garden and it truly smells like you should strolling though a garden sipping afternoon tea. This product contains food grade naturally-derived botanicals and cruelty-free honey. I know you’ve heard me say this before but I am a HUGE natural products lover. I get so excited to see beauty product that contain naturally derived products over engineered ones.
This was a sample size of 2 fl. oz.
A full size 15.5 fl. oz. product cost $24.00
Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co Lip Pencil
This was from the same line as the lip liner in the Limited Edition Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co box I talked about above, just in a different color. The colors vary between monthly boxes but the color I received was a beautiful mauve one. It actually looks great with the lip gloss I received in the Limited Edition box!
This was a full size item that normally cost $29.00.
Emite Eye Lash Curler
This is a Rose Gold professional eye lash curler. You guys, Rose Gold is MY COLOR! My hair is rose gold for crying out loud, so of course I LOVE this Eye lash curler just on color alone. The best part is, even if it wasn’t totally and completely my color, I would still love this eye lash curler. It is built so well, very solid and sturdy. Which is much more than I can say about the eyelash curler I had prior to this.
This was a full size product that normally cost $25.00
SHOW Beauty Grooming Balm
This is all about your hair! It conditions your hair and helps reduce frizz, flyaways and split ends. It contains Jojoba, Safflower Seed and Argan oil that all help condition your hair without having it feel heavy and greasy.
This is a full size product that cost $45.00
Overall Thoughts on the June Summer Solstice Box
There were a quite a few great products in this box. I love the variety of products received in this Glossybox. It’s so much more than just your store-typical beauty items, it brings your entire skincare routine into play. Plus the box has so much additional value in it. The monthly subscription cost $21 a month if you purchase month to month. The Eye Lash Curler alone costs more than that, plus you still received three additional full size items and two generous sized sample items.
