Hello Everyone!
As many of you know I LOVE subscription boxes. I recently had someone from Glossybox reach out to me to review one of their boxes for all of you. I have never tried Glossybox before so this is my first Glossybox Unboxing.
I did receive this box at no cost in exchange for a review and this post does contain affiliate links. This doesn’t impact my opinion on the box or products. I always will give you my honest opinion on anything I share with all of you.
First off Glossybox is $21 a month. You can also purchase three, six, and twelve month plans as well. The price per box drops as you add months. Each month you will get five products in the Glossybox you receive!
The theme this month was Look Good Feel Great. So what did I get in my Glossybox for the month of April?
Glossybox Unboxing – April 2018
I am a sucker for packaging! The actual box that Glossybox arrived in was impressive. It was a very cute, pretty and sturdy box. Once you opened the box up it was beautifully packaged and tied with a fun little bow!
The products I received were very nice products and I want to start with my favorite one first.
Rituals Foaming Shower Gel
I’m not going to lie. I have tried Rituals shower gel before and it is by far one of my favorite shower gels of all time. This was the first item I saw in the box and I was beyond thrilled to see it. If you’ve never tried this brand before the gel itself almost comes out looking like shaving cream but with a luxurious feeling to it. This product was a perfect fit to the Look Good Feel Great theme that Glossybox had this month!
Needless to say I was fan of this product. This was a full size $15.00 item.
La Roche-Posay Face Wipes
A good makeup remover is something everyone needs and something I have been on the market for recently. These Oil Free Face Wipes was another great item that was in this box. As a mom, I’m always willing to try something that will decrease my laundry pile. I realize this isn’t a driving force for many people, but for me, the fact that these wipes not only work great but also remove the need for a washcloth is a major plus in my book!
This was a full size item and cost $9.99 for twenty-five towelettes and is something I fully intend to repurchase once I run out.
Kar Lagerfeld + Modelco Baked Blush
The color that was sent in the box is Rose Beige. This is more of a highlighter than a blush, which I only realized after reading what Glossybox sent out. My first impression was that it was a very light shimmery color, so it makes perfect sense to use it as a highlighter in your everyday makeup routine. The rose tint is just enough to bring warmth to your cheeks while at the same time allowing for the look of a natural glow. I’ve only used it a couple times so far, but both times I was very happy with both how it looked and also how light it felt on my face.
This was another full size product that costs $44.00.
oOlution Eye Love
This product is all for your eyes. I had never heard of this company before, but after looking them up I discovered they were based in France and used organic ingredients (this one in particular has 65 different active organic ingredients). Personally, I am a huge fan of the all natural and organic products so I was thrilled to see one in this Glossybox. I have what I refer to as Mom Face. I usually look tired and sometimes my black circles have black circles. I haven’t been using this product long enough to say that it has reduced the circles under my eyes however it has made my skin feel better.
This is a full size product and costs $37.00.
Ouidad Climate Control Restore + Revive
This is a product that seems to be geared toward curly hair. It is a bi-phase treatment/styler combo of natural oils that help with curl definition, restoring shine to your hair and controlling frizz. I don’t have curly hair, however, after a horrible hair experience a year ago (yes, I am still dealing with the fall out of this one bad decision) my hair has been a frizzy mess. While this product is geared toward someone with curly hair I will say that it has tamed some of my frizz that I inevitably end up with despite my best efforts. I’ve only used it a couple times but I have been pleasantly surprised with the results considering my hair is naturally fairly straight.
This is a full size product and cost $32.00
Overall Thoughts On My Glossybox Unboxing
I have never tried Glossybox before, but I have tried other beauty subscription boxes. I never ended up keeping the boxes because I didn’t feel like the value of the box was anything to write home about. Or just write about in general, that’s partly why I haven’t posted about them before. However the value of this box far exceeds the price you pay. The most expensive option for Glossybox is $21 per box. When you look at that and compare it to the value that was in this box ($137.99) it just blows me away.
If you were to go and purchase these items yourself you would be paying $137.99 rather than the $21 you would pay for the Glossybox subscription. This is a HUGE plus in my book because if I’m going to be getting a subscription I want it to be WELL worth my money, which this box has in spades.

Also, this box has introduced me to some brands that I both love and have never heard of before. One of the fun parts of a subscription box is being introduced to new brands and products. I know that there are some items in here I don’t think I would’ve tried on my own, but after using them, am so happy I received in this box.
Overall I fell in love with Glossybox and loved all of the items I received for the month of April. The value of the items I received exceeded my exception which is something that you want when choosing a subscription box.
