Ever let your Bananas get overripe? Don’t throw them out! Make this Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe.
I’m legitimately obsessed with banana bread. I honestly can’t get enough and when I do make it, it doesn’t last long at our house. My kids like it, my husband likes it, and I like it so it’s usually gone within a day.
This past year or so, if you followed along with me on Instagram you know that when states started shutting down my toddler had some issues that needed to be addressed right away (2 oral surgeries), but with limited spots at doctors’ offices due to the shut down his eating was delayed severely (his therapist put him at over a year behind for his eating delay). He was in therapy for 8 months and finally caught up, but, one of the things he LOVED was banana bread! We would actually have to use it as a reward during therapy. So, I started making a ton of it, and he’s a kid, so of course I decided to try to add some chocolate chips to it. I mean, why not?!
That’s how the whole Chocolate Chip Banana Bread thing started at our house. Now it’s something I literally buy extra bananas for and deliberately let them ger overripe just so we can make this chocolate chip banana bread recipe.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Ingredients
3-4 Overripe Peeled Bananas
2 Eggs
½ Cup Butter (melted)
¾ Cup Vanilla Bean Yogurt
¼ tsp baking soda
2 tsp Vanilla
½ tsp Salt
¼ Milk
2 Cups flour
1 Cup Brown Sugar
½ tsp Baking Powder
Chocolate Chips to taste
Preparation
1.Set oven to 350 Degrees
2. Combine wet ingredients in mixing bowl and mix together: butter (melted), bananas, eggs, milk, yogurt, vanilla
(THIS is my favorite mixer I don’t know what I would do without it!)
3. In a separate bowl combine dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, brown sugar, salt.
4. Mix the dry ingredients in with the wet ingredients slowly, mixing as you go.
5. Spray two bread loaf pans and pour ingredients into them.
6. Bake for 50 minutes and then check (I’ve noticed if I had larger Bananas sometimes it takes a little longer).
7. Enjoy!
Eat and Enjoy!
That’s it! Super easy and super tasty! Plus I love how the yogurt helps keep the bread from drying out, but you don’t HAVE to use the yogurt if you don’t want to.
